| Raquel doesn't like Juno.meh, the camera has no batteries.... so i bought some, but we will have to wait till tomorrow to see my paintings again.
I like it when people like what i like. Raquel said she saw Juno in theaters she then said she didn't like it, it was a "generic indie film." and She could tell from the "Napoleon Dynomite opening scene" i said "fuck you".
anyone else and i would have been a pussy, and Jacob called it.
1st: A generic indie film is most often better than any and all blockbusters which fit much better the term "generic."
2nd: Napoleon Dynamite was okay until it became a culture.
3rd: I don't see any connection between Juno and Napoleon Dynamite besides a similar filming style. Juno had a much more in depth plot. and I like simple plots dammit! and this Juno actually happens much more than Napoleon, and i'm sure you can relate to it much better.
4th: this a million times closer than a wes anderson film than napoleon Dynamite.
5th: so it fits in a genre. a genre that happens to be kind of new and much more interesting, to me, than any other. how is that bad?
that is my spiel.
p.s. Raquel is my friend.
p.p.s. tyler doesn't like juno either. he likes it better than raquel, but also said he didn't like things being indie for the sake of being indie. I don't know how much one can judge that. I didn't feel that way. I did feel that way about Little MRs Sunshine, though, so i can kind of see what they are saying. but, Juno was good. I'm sticking to it.

| | Currently Listening Juno By Original Soundtrack anyone else but you see related | new blog Hooray!!!
i turned 21 yesterday, am still yet to get shit-faced. we rented and watched Juno and i think it is the best movie i have seen in a while. at least since Darjeeling limited. maybe i like it better than that.
i think the soundtrack is amazing. it features a lot of the moldy peaches and specifically Kimya Dawson. the music is pretty good. real folksy. the vocals are not super but they fit. As far as music goes it could be much better, but as a work of art i think it is amazing. perhaps my favourite music for right now. it is very lyrically driven which i value a lot in the music i listen to. I feel like i'm listening to something that means something.
I should keep everyone updated on my paintings. at one point i wanted this to be an art blog, and it was... kind of. more of a picture blog i guess. i'll try to get some pictures of my paintings.
you should get your friends to read this now. if people want to read i'll prolly write more.
i don't care if you read it. but i think it would be more reason to write which would be good i think.
